Alamkode was once a forest region, and its name is believed to have originated from ancient weapon-making workshops located there. The area was historically part of the Perumpadappu Swaroopam and Vannarinaadu, which held significant political and cultural importance. Religious harmony, folk art forms, festivals, and cultural organizations continue to enrich the heritage of Alamkode.
